BB Named 10 Most Anticipated Films

BB - Official Stills

MoviePilot has included BB Movie in it's "10 Indie Horror Films Coming Out In 2017 You Don't Want To Miss!" penned by Rachel Rumancek. The quote about the project:
Truly a twisted gem, BB is a reluctantly fabulous and insightful thriller from director C.J. Wallis that probes uncomfortably deep into life of a webcam worker and the mind of her unknown and violently obsessive No. 1 voyeur. The cast of BB are previously unknown actors and the movie itself was shot with a two person crew and financed from the very pockets of director Wallis himself.
Recommended for fans of Creep and Megan is Missing, BB draws its fear from the very taboo reality the film showcases. It's nothing far fetched, from not only the dangers of working in adult entertainment but the underestimated strength of a jaded woman.

BB Wins Best Actress Of The Year

BB - Official Stills

BloodGuts UK Horror was one of the first website's to review BB back in August, and they have just nominated the film "Best Independent Film Of The Year" and awarded first-timer Jennifer Mae "Best Actor In An Independent Film". In their words:
When a stalker latches onto an internet stripper, the results are uncomfortable to watch. From a self funded film by director/writer CJ Wallis this could have been a forgettable entry to a genre that has been done better on bigger budgets yet it is the central role of "Candy Cummings", played by Jennifer Mae, that really shines. Delivering a raw performance and barring all, her role is much more than to stand and look good. The emotion in her character and the drive that funds her career choice become all too real and it is Mae who brings this heartbreaking character to life.

BB Movie Review - PopHorror.Com

BB - Official Stills
"BB is an excellent film and a breath of fresh air from a genre filled with filmmakers who seem intent on burying it beneath mounds of poppycock. Stuff like BB is what needs to see wide-release and get talked about by the masses....Sadly, BB will probably slip under the radar of all except the most devoted of horror fans. And that, my friends, is beyond shameful."

BB (2016) – Movie Review

Going into BB, I expected little more than some indie dross cobbled together by a no-talent hack whose abilities were far below those of a troglodyte. But writer/director C.J. Wallis, here making his feature film directorial debut, proved me wrong. Way wrong.

Leah Lamont (Jennifer Mae) needs some money to send her girlfriend, Alina (Victoria Fox), to Bucharest to visit her family. What quicker way for a woman to earn some quick cash than by working as a cam girl? Under the name Candy Cummings, Leah begins performing for lonely men stalking the Internet highways. But one man, Hal Bowman/HornyHal (Kristian Hanson), believes Candy’s attitude towards him signifies her love for him and her desire to be rescued from her life. When he loses a chance to take her on a date, he decides he’ll have to take initiative to win this girl of his dreams.

BB Named Top 3 Film Of The Year

BB - Official Stills

The film review site "Far Sighted" has released their top films of the year and BB cracked the Top 3. In an article named "Mondo Counts Down Year’s Best Exploitation Films," Blaine McLaren had this to say:
This was the biggest surprise of 2016 for me. A simple, self financed movie about camgirls became one of my favorite films of the year. It is bold, chaotic fun that eventually shows the downfall of mental illness and self medication. Besides all of that high mindedness, it is also a story about a woman on the edge who is being stalked by an unhinged veteran.
